Cutting Gel Information
Cutting Gel
is sold as a topical "fat releaser," which means that
it has the ability to be applied topically (on the skin) and travel
to the fat cells, where it helps to liberate stored body fat so
it can be used for energy. Made by NutraSport, Cutting Gel has
been extensively marketed in magazine ads, which talk about unspecified
clinical studies proving its effectiveness.
The largest ingredient by weight is lecithin, a marginally effective
nutrient that has not been shown to be absorbed through the skin
to any great extent. Except for a bit of aminophylline, the rest
of the gel is a somewhat sticky neutral base and preservatives.
Investigation reveals that the product's claims of being patented
are exaggerations at best.
