Meridia
Side Effects
Meridia
has been studied in over 100 clinical trials with more than 12,000
patients. Some 8.5 million people worldwide have taken Meridia.
The reason for its popularity is due to its effectiveness as a
weight loss aid. (To compare Meridia prices from top on-line pharmacies,
see Cheapest
Meridia Online.)
Meridia, like
all medications, may cause side effects. In studies the most common
side effects were:
- dry mouth
- constipation
- insomnia
(inability to fall asleep).
Other side
effects that may occur as a result of taking Meridia include:
- headache
- increased
sweating
- an increase
in blood pressure
- an increase
in heart rate
These side
effects are generally mild, and have usually not caused people
to stop taking Meridia. If you develop a symptom that you think
might be a side effect, stop taking Merdia and notify your doctor
immediately so he or she can advise you on what to do.
Other side
effects include increased blood pressure.
On average,
small increases in blood pressure and small increases in heart
rate were seen in overweight people who took Meridia in scientifically
controlled studies. In some people, the increase in blood pressure
is large enough to cause concern.
People who
take Meridia should have regular blood pressure checks. People
with uncontrolled or poorly controlled high blood pressure should
not take Meridia. You should make sure you see your doctor as
directed for regular follow-up visits.
