Does Metabogenic Work
While there
is no universal answer to the question "Does Metabogenic
Work?", there are hundreds of reports by users of Metabogenic
who attest to its incredible effectiveness.
To gain a better understanding of how Metabogenic (and other fat
burners) work, let's take a look at its two primary mechanisms
of action within the body: 1) Thermogenesis, and 2) Appetite suppression.
Our bodies have three primary hormonal mechanisms related to the
metabolism: 1) the thyroid hormones, 2) the adrenergic hormones
(epinephrine and norepinephrine), and 3) the prostaglandin hormones.
Metabogenic seems to boost the supply of the adrenergic hormones,
which mobilizes fatty acids from our triglyceride stores and forces
the skeletal muscles to use more fatty acids for heat production.
This results in increased energy expenditure and a loss of body
fat when you exercise and diet correctly. Although synephrine/caffeine
stacks are milder than ephedrine/caffeine stacks, they can still
cause side effects if you are sensitive to caffeine. (For more
information about side effects associated with Metabogenic, see
Metabogenic Side Effects.)
Thermogenesis
Synephrine
Synephrine is a chemical cousin of ephedrine. It has a similar
ability to boost thermogenesis by increasing your metabolic rate.
Synephrine can also promote fat breakdown and suppress appetite.
It is less stimulating on the central nervous system than ephedrine,
so it is a good alternative to ephedrine for sensitive individuals.
Citrus aurantium is the best natural source of synephrine.
Green Tea
Green tea extract is rich in chemical compounds called catechin
polyphenols, specifically unique one called epigallocatechin gallate
(EGCG). Thermogenesis takes place when the hormone norepinephrine
is stimulated in the body. When this powerful hormone is no longer
present, thermogenesis cannot take place. Thus, thermogenesis
occurs in the presence of norepinephrine. Researchers have found
that the catechin EGCG contained in green tea actually prolongs
the life of norepinephrine, causing the thermogenic process to
continue, resulting in sustained calorie burning. In layman's
terms, when you take green tea extract that contains a high concentration
of this EGCG catechin, you'll burn more calories for extended
periods of time.
Caffeine
The third key ingredient – caffeine – is a methylxanthine
that stimulates fat burning. The caffeine content in Metabogenic
also comes from green tea extract. Caffeine works by increasing
free fatty-acid concentrations and adrenaline levels. This results
in greater lipolysis (oxidation of fats for energy), which can
drain your fat stores over time. This change in a muscle's utilization
of energy substrates can have a profound effect on fat loss. Caffeine
also heightens mental alertness, which can positively affect your
motivation to exercise and thereby help create the caloric deficit
you need to lose body fat.
Coleus forskohlii
Coleus forskohlii promotes thermogenesis through its stimulation
of thyroid function. It also helps liberate fatty acids from the
adipose tissues by increasing the level of cyclic adenosine monophosphate
(cAMP) in the cell. These properties enhance the effects of the
basic ephedrine/caffeine combination.
L-tyrosine
Tyrosine promotes thermogenesis by providing more of the raw material
needed to produce the neurotransmitters and thyroid hormones in
charge of regulating your metabolic rate. As such, tyrosine works
with the synephrine/caffeine stack to boost your metabolism and
help you to reduce your fat stores.
Appetite Suppressant
The synephrine/caffeine stack reduces appetite, which seems to
account for about three-quarters of the weight loss you might
experience. The other one-quarter is accounted for by increased
thermogenesis.
