Xenadrine Efx Results
What
Results You Can Expect When Taking Xenadrine EFX
Like other synephrine/caffeine-based products on the market, Xenadrine
Efx will induce thermogenesis (raise your body's temperature)
and cause you to burn more calories. Other Xenadrine Efx results
include: suppressing your appetite, preserving lean muscle mass,
and increasing your energy levels. The tyrosine in the formulation
increases these benefits by further curbing appetite and reducing
fatigue and stress levels. DMAE increases attention span and focus,
while ginger root helps to reduce the gastrointestinal upset that
can sometimes occur with caffeine. Di-methionine assists in the
breakdown of fats. Grape seed extract has health benefits, but
does not help to burn body fat.
There can sometimes be mild side effects associated with synephrine/caffeine-based
products. For more information, see Xenadrine
Efx Side Effects.
What the Individual Ingredients Do
Xenadrine EFX contains a combination of ingredients that helps
you to lose weight through a number of different mechanisms. But
the main ingredients that produce its fat-burning effects are
the synephrine in the Citrus aurantium and the caffeine in the
green tea extract, cocoa extract and yerba mate. The other nutrients
have related effects, but are not central to the product's effectiveness.
Here is a breakdown of the individual ingredients in Xenadrine
Efx and what they do:
Xenadrine
Efx Results From Citrus aurantium
Citrus aurantium
is the botanical name for a fruit known as zhi shi in traditional
Chinese medicine and as bitter orange or sour orange in other
countries. The unripe fruit contains synephrine – a chemical
that is structurally related to ephedrine – as well as octopamine
and tyramine. Like ephedrine, synephrine has the ability to increase
metabolic rate and lipolysis (fat breakdown). Synephrine is also
a mild appetite suppressant and an energy enhancer. (The Chinese
use it to stimulate the Qi, or energy force.) But unlike ephedrine,
synephrine has much less impact on the central nervous system.
This makes it easier to tolerate for people who are sensitive
to ephedrine. The effects of synephrine are greatly increased
when it is combined with caffeine. The amount of synephrine alkaloids
in Xenadrine Efx is not indicated on the label. (For studies on
the ingredients in Xenadrine Efx, see Xenadrine
Efx Review.)
Xenadrine
Efx Results From Caffeine
The caffeine
sources in Xenadrine Efx are green tea extract, cocoa extract
and yerba mate. There is no difference in the caffeine of these
three herbs – caffeine is caffeine. They do have some other
differences, however.
Green tea contains potent antioxidant compounds called polyphenols.
There are four primary polyphenols in green tea. While all four
appear to have protective value, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)
occurs in the greatest amounts and has the strongest benefits.
EGCG is an antioxidant that is several times more potent than
vitamin E. It also prolongs the life of norepinephrine, which
triggers thermogenesis. As a result, EGCG keeps the thermogenic
process going for a longer period of time, boosting your metabolic
rate and facilitating fat loss.
Cocoa extract comes from the plant Theobroma cacao. It contains
a relatively small amount of caffeine along with larger amounts
of theobromine, the primary metabolite of caffeine. Other plant
chemicals in cocoa include PEA (phenylethylamine) and tyramine.
PEA has been shown to increase attention span, while tyramine
(a breakdown product of tyrosine) has a chemical structure that
is similar to epinephrine and norepinephrine. Everyone who has
eaten chocolate knows that cocoa can have a stimulating effect
when consumed in sufficient quantities. (Unfortunately, it also
has a lot of calories – hardly what you need while dieting.)
The amount of cocoa extract in Xenadrine Efx is not indicated.
Yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis) is a tree that grows in Brazil,
Argentina and Paraguay. The people of these countries have used
it for centuries as a tonic and stimulant. The leaves of this
plant contain caffeine as well as smaller amounts of theophylline
and theobromine, two plant chemicals that also stimulate the central
nervous system. Some reports indicate that yerba mate may have
thermogenic properties in its own right.
As far as fat burning is concerned, the primary active ingredient
in green tea extract and yerba mate is caffeine. This plant chemical
is rapidly absorbed by the body and remains in circulation for
more than seven hours. Plasma concentrations reach a peak one
hour after it is consumed. It is then slowly metabolized, with
a half-life of four to six hours.
Caffeine has been shown to dramatically increase free fatty-acid
levels, providing the body with a fuel source that it can use
instead of the glycogen stored in your liver and muscles. In fact,
one study found a 100% increase in plasma free fatty acids after
the subjects took 330 mg of caffeine.
At the same time, caffeine has been shown to increase adrenaline
levels. This "fight-or-flight" hormone increases alertness
and boosts energy levels, helping you to go through your daily
tasks with less food intake. Most people experience a reduced
appetite when their adrenaline levels are high, usually because
they are focused on more essential tasks. With these two mechanisms,
it's easy to understand why caffeine is important for jump-starting
your weight-loss efforts.

Efx Results From L-tyrosine
L-tyrosine
is the amino acid tyrosine in free (unbound) form, while acetyl-L-tyrosine
is the same amino acid tied to an acetyl molecule. Both are bioavailable
forms of tyrosine, an amino acid that plays an important role
in human metabolism. It is the precursor to stimulatory neurotransmitters
such as epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine and some of the
thyroid hormones. All of these neurotransmitters and hormones
play important roles in maintaining your metabolic rate. Logically,
if you have a greater supply of these precursors, you can nudge
your metabolism up a bit, helping you to shed unwanted pounds.
Several studies have also shown that tyrosine increases the benefits
of caffeine/ephedrine products, in part by curbing appetite. Tyrosine
appears to reduce stress and fatigue as well, putting you in a
better state of mind and making it easier to stick to your diet
and exercise program. The amount of L-tyrosine in Xenadrine EFX
is not indicated on the product label.
Xenadrine
Efx Results From Ginger root
Ginger (Zingiber
officinale) is indigenous to tropical Asia and is now cultivated
in tropical areas throughout the world. The rhizome, which is
technically an underground stem instead of a root, contains oleoresins
that are rich in gingerols. These compounds have a variety of
sedative effects. Ginger is traditionally used to calm the stomach
and as a treatment for motion sickness. Since some individuals
experience gastrointestinal upset with caffeine and other stimulatory
chemicals, ginger should help to eliminate this occasional side
effect. Ginger does not have any fat-burning properties.
Xenadrine
Efx Results From Di-methionine
Methionine
is an essential amino acid that assists in the breakdown of fats.
For this reason, it is sometimes called a lipotropic. Methionine
is a bioavailable source of methyl groups, which have a number
of important roles in the body. This amino acid also contains
sulfur, a mineral with antioxidant properties that is necessary
for healthy skin, hair, tendons and ligaments. Methionine must
be obtained from the diet. It is the precursor for the amino acids
cystine and cysteine. Methionine is one of the three amino acids
the body uses to make creatine, an important energy molecule.
Xenadrine
Efx Results From DMAE
DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol)
is a precursor to choline in the body. This can boost the level
of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the brain. Unlike many
nutrients, DMAE is able to cross the blood-brain barrier. This
gives it the potential to enhance attention span and alertness.
DMAE supplementation has been shown to increase mental focus and
energy levels, which ought to facilitate your adherence to your
diet program.
Xenadrine
Efx Results From Grape seed extract
Grape seed
extract contains a number of flavonoids and other compounds with
significant antioxidant properties. It has been found to be a
stronger neutralizer of free radicals than even vitamins C and
E. Since exercise (which is needed to help create a caloric deficit)
results in greater numbers of free radicals, taking an antioxidant
such as grape seed extract has health benefits. Some makers of
grape seed extract claim that their "unique" product
also has the ability to redirect fatty acids away from the adipose
tissues storage so they can be metabolized, resulting in less
body fat over time. However, no published scientific study has
shown this to be true.
While this
article illuminates what results you can expect from the individual
ingredients in Xenadrine Efx, the only true way to experience
Xenadrine Efx results is to actually try the product out yourself.
